Common questions
My render looks off. What can I do?
Most misses come from the source photo: face the camera straight on, in even light, hair away from your face, no hat or sunglasses. Each look can be re-rendered once for free from the result screen. If it is still wrong, email us the look ID from the result screen and we will restore the look to your balance.
How do I restore Hairset+ or a look pack on a new phone?
Open the paywall from the looks pill on Home and tap “Restore purchases”. Purchases are tied to your Apple ID. If you also used Sign in with Apple, signing in on the new device brings your saved looks back too.
How do I cancel Hairset+?
On your iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Hairset → Cancel. You keep access until the end of the paid period. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
I was charged but did not get my looks.
Force-quit the app and reopen it; the balance syncs on launch. If it is still missing after a few minutes, tap “Restore purchases” on the paywall. Still stuck? Email us with your Apple receipt and we will fix the balance manually.
How do I get a refund?
Apple handles all App Store refunds at reportaproblem.apple.com. Choose the Hairset purchase and follow the steps. We cannot issue refunds directly, but we can help with any account issue behind the request.
How do I delete my photo?
You tab → Your photo → Delete now. Selfies are also deleted automatically within 24 hours unless you saved a look made from them.
How do I delete my account and all my data?
You tab → Delete account. It is immediate and permanent: photo, renders, saved looks, analysis and preferences are all removed. Cancel any active subscription separately in your Apple ID settings. See the Delete your account page for an email fallback.
Does Hairset work on Android or iPad?
Hairset is currently an iPhone app. iPad and Android are on the roadmap.
How many free looks do I get?
3 looks when you start. Hairset+ adds 30 a month; a 10-look pack is a one-time top-up with no subscription.
Taking a selfie that renders well
- Daylight or a bright, even room. Avoid one hard light from the side.
- Face the camera straight on, eyes level, chin neutral.
- Hair pulled back or tucked behind the ears so the AI sees your hairline and jaw.
- No hats, sunglasses or heavy filters. Glasses are fine (you can remove them with the variant switch).
- Fill the frame from the top of the head to the collarbone.
